Maybe it is jut me, but Diamond Dallas Page seemed to have his ribs taped up for exactly forever. Taped ribs are a long-time wrestling trope, but DDP is the man that is always connected to them in my mind. The storied love affair began in the summer of 1997, when the New World Order spent around 110% of Monday Nitro making everyone else look like goobers. Beatdowns were a-plenty, and poor DDP's ribs seemed to bear the brunt of them. Thus, Page taped the poor things up, and for the next few years taped ribs became a part of DDP's ring gear. The costume? Simple. Just wrap yourself in toilet paper, kitchen towel or whatever is white and, erm, wrappy. When someone compliments you on your Mummy costume, correct them by telling them you are actually the injured ribs of Diamond Dallas Page, and then BANG! Diamond Cutter OUTTA NOWHERE.
