6. MJF Vs. Rush Comes Along Nicely

AEW

In a very short but also very nasty and appealingly violent squash, Rush beat the ever-living sh*t out of Deonn Rusman with chops, several throws into the unforgiving barricade, and a brutal Bull's Horns.

After the match - in order to set up a commercial-free Dynamite opener next week - Rush and MJF worked a pull-apart brawl that sprawled into the stands and backstage. It was really well-done, and the general idea - to move MJF away from his house show-leaning, almost comedic 2023 babyface work - continues to be inspired.

In the best moment, Rush and MJF, after tumbling through a table backstage, simply stopped throwing punches and started strangling one another. Stipped-up rematch at Forbidden Door?

Watching Rush unleash hell with a strap could be incredible.
