7 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Nov 27)

1. That Numbers Disadvantage

Most within pro wrestling circles would generally agree that heels should have the numbers advantage over babyfaces. This is a tried-and-tested formula. The villains gang up on those valiant goodies to batter them senseless, which then leads to some hearty vengeance later on.

Not on SmackDown.

Murphy and the Mysterio family aligned to kick 'King' Corbin around like he was Vince McMahon vs. The Hart Clan at WrestleMania XXVI. This was one-sided stuff, and not in a good or meaningful way. After all, Corbin hasn't built any heel street cred by pasting Murphy (or anyone else) for a few weeks.

Also, WWE are doing a poor job of explaining why Rey and Dominik are suddenly buddy-buddy with Murphy. They need to start exploring that instead of just palming it off as, 'Oh, Rey is happy for Aalyah because he likes seeing his little girl smile'.
