7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE WrestleMania XIX
Downs...
3. Miller Sh*te
There's a place on every WrestleMania for a palette cleanser or two, and WWE often lean in to the celebrities involved in the show in order to break up the monotony of so many matches. But the needless titillation that was supposedly garnered from the segment failed to resonate with anybody beyond Jonathan Coachman and (obviously) Jerry Lawler.
For all the context needed, the Miller Lite Catfight Girls gained a shred of notoriety after a Superbowl commercial they featured in was banned - the sort of sh*t Vince Russo used to go wild for when the late-1990s audiences lapped this up.
Like much of what didn't work on this otherwise-entertaining show, it was a relic of a bygone era - and resulted in Rob Van Dam, Kane, Lance Storm, Chief Morley and The Dudley Boyz all having their 'Show Of Shows' moments relegated to a pre-show slot to make up the time.
