7 Ups & 4 Downs For AEW Collision (Nov 25 - Results & Review)
A meaty mighty main event, but sadly a lot of 'mid' elsewhere.
Another weekend, another AEW Collision.
Going up against WWE Survivor Series - which concluded with the shocking WWE return of a certain CM Punk - it was always going to be an uphill battle for Collision this week. And truthfully, this could well have been the most 'mid' Collision since the show launched earlier this year.
The Continental Classic and the House of Black took centre-stage on this latest episode, with HOB being involved in three matches, while we had another two outings for AEW's new G1-inspired tournament. Not just that, but House of Black were victorious in all three of those contests, plus continued to keep FTR in their crosshairs.
Where the Classic is concerned, Collision opened with Claudio Castagnoli vs. Daniel Garcia and closed with Brody King vs. Eddie Kingston. Sandwiched between those matches, there was "Killswitch" taking on Dalton Castle's Boys in a handicap affair, Buddy Matthews and Malakai Black battled Gravity and Komander, Julia Hart defended the TBS Title against Lady Frost, FTR faced off against the Righteous, and Keith Lee had to contend with Lee Moriarty.
As alluded to, this was another solid but far from spectacular AEW Collision, with nothing horrendously awful but little that exactly made for must-see TV.
With all of that in mind, then, Saturday night's alright for fighting...
