Daniel Garcia became the man to occupy one of the more intriguing spots on the show when he accepted Adam Cole's open challenge, and made a great case for himself and his wider story arc in the process.

Noting his vast experience in Dynamite/Rampage main events and acceleration up the card in Cole's absence, Garcia worked as hard as he could at being a Sports Entertainment caricature before the mask briefly slipped and - much to the joy of the crowd - he almost called himself a pro wrestler again. Free to luxuriate in being the best one of those, Cole levelled up himself and promised his very best in what will presumably be next week's headliner.

The freshness of the pairing was reassuring but - and it's one of the biggest buts in television wrestling at this point - if Garcia is the conduit to a Cole/Chris Jericho Double Or Nothing feud, consider this promo exchange the peak of the next two months and tearfully wave it away.
