7 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (15 July)
3. Havok Finally Decays
A fun match, this. Focusing on Havok holding control over Tasha Steelz for the majority of the contest while 'The Boricua Badass' preferred to perform some dance moves rather than fighting back, the duo had a delightful time together. That Rosemary and Kiera Hogan stood at ringside rather than getting involved was also a nice touch; save that for Slammiversary.
Aside from a kick here and a crucifix attempt there, Steelz got near enough no offence in. She was laid out with a backbreaker/Lariat combination, before Havok quite literally ran through her with a stiff knee. A Tombstone Piledriver got the former Knockouts Champion her second win in as many weeks.
It's what went down backstage that caught this writer's attention. Havok officially joined Rosemary, Crazzy Steve, and Black Taurus in Decay, doing so with the help of Father James Mitchell. This was needed; had Havok and Rosemary gone into their title quest as just that, it wouldn't feel like they're an actual team. By giving them the Decay moniker, you're putting across the possibility of a title change. The knockouts doubles division is in dire need of more full-time tandems, and thus, this couldn't have come at a better time arguably.
