Moose cuts deep, Minoru Suzuki arrives, Trey Miguel thrives under pressure, Eric Young is back.
This was a pivotal show for IMPACT Wrestling.
Bound For Glory was arguably their most anticipated pay-per-view of 2021, only this time, the hype surrounded the story arc of one of their own stars as opposed to the debut or inevitable championship success of one Kenny Omega. Given the way the 23 October pay-per-view concluded, with Josh achieving World Champion status and Moose then stealing the title from him, the fallout episode desperately needed to disprove any negative queries.
It did that to an extent.
Moose's first words as World Champion were exceptionally superb, while the debut of Minoru Suzuki and staredown with Josh Alexander set up a marquee bout for a future IMPACT show. The company themselves have confirmed it happened during their Monday tapings, so that one's a waiting game for now. In the meantime, they'll be on opposite sides next week alongside Moose and W. Morrissey, and Matt Cardona and Eddie Edwards, respectively.
Elsewhere, Trey Miguel and Rocky Romero had a corker of an X Division Title match, Madison Rayne stepped forward to challenge Mickie James, Ace Austin overcame Chris Sabin, the IInspiration's first official IMPACT promo went down about as great as you'd expect.
