There'll be a few occasions here where your writer applies a little too much generosity to the content thanks to the rose-tint of bonafide wrestling history being made, but that nostalgia-driven exaggeration won't compare to the flaming hot bullsh*t WWE served in an effort to set a record on a record-setting night.

King King Bundy's 23-second destruction of the Special Delivery Jones served the stated aim of getting Jimmy Hart's newest monster over as a clear and present danger to Hulk Hogan and others, but the company's blatant lie over the run-time reflected one of the few facts that could actually be checked and verified back in 1985.

Howard Finkel's "nine seconds" announcement popped the crowd, but the fabrication is a touch too absurd on rewatch.
