Alundra Blayze's perfunctory victory over inaugural WrestleMania competitor Leilani Kai is little more than a token gesture to the already-ignored Women's Division only re-established six months earlier.

Foreshadowing much of his Attitude Era worst, Jerry Lawler was all about appearance jokes at both competitors' expense rather than deigning the match worthy of his attention. Blayze wrapping things up with her german suplex after only 3:20 minutes wouldn't have seemed so out of place on the stacked older editions of the 'Show Of Shows', but outside of an instant squash (more on that later), this was the shortest contest on the card by some margin.

Kai's place there was telling in itself - she had a history on the 'Grandest Stage' but no presence in the present. Hardly anybody did - it was the reason the experiment ultimately failed again.
