4. Scorpio Sky Gets Slugged

The delayed Shawn Spears vs. Scorpio Sky grudge match finally went down on Dynamite last night, with Sky returning to television after coming into contact with somebody who had tested positive for COVID-19.

This was the feud's most compelling offering so far. The duo have been butting heads since Sky "stole Spears' spotlight" on the Late Night Dynamite show, having saved Matt Sydal from a beatdown. Here, it seemingly ended, with the duo working a snug, heated match that felt appropriately attritional for the rivalry, with both bringing good levels of intensity and the finish well-worked.

Tully Blanchard slipped Spears a slug for his black glove while 'The Chairman' was down. The Horseman then slid another to Sky, occupying his attention long enough for Shawn to load the glove, knock Scorp out, and take the win.

That villainy prevailed means we may see AEW run this one back. If they don't, last night would be a fine way to end it.
