7 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Elimination Chamber 2022

2. Bobby Lashley = Protected

It kinda blows that Bobby Lashley was a transitional champion after looking so good at Royal Rumble and on Raw recently. Saying that, WWE went out of their way to protect big Bob at Elimination Chamber. His exit from the headliner says he isn't done with the top line mix quite yet.

Lashley was taken out when others crashed through his pod.

That spot looked dynamite, and it's great that WWE found an out for somebody who didn't merit the same squashy treatment that Lesnar was dishing out to everyone else. The former champ will have excuses come Monday's Raw, and the flagship might even get a rare TV title defence from Brock out of it someday soon.

Brace yourselves for that, because it might be Lesnar's only non-pay-per-view battle before WrestleMania 38. Maybe it won't happen, but it should. Bobby, as the villain of the piece, has to shout from the rooftops about the injustice of losing his belt without being pinned or tapped out.
