The Macho Man had to take the hard road - victories over Butch Reed, Greg Valentine and One Man Gang were hurdles of different shape, size and situation - before squeaking by the Million Dollar Man with help from 'The Hulkster', but an undercurrent of romance had to underpin the entire ordeal.
