7 Ups & 7 Downs From Impact Wrestling (9 March)
2. Game Changer
Rich Swann and Moose's World Championship clash at Sacrifice was already a match you wanted to see. There was a decent story behind it, it was going to be a good wrestling match, and there were rumours from a few weeks ago that the winner would have a huge opportunity ahead of them at Rebellion.
Those rumours? They're true.
Scott D'Amore informed Swann and Moose that both the Impact World Championship and the latter's TNA World Heavyweight Championship would be on the line in a World Championship Unification Match at the Impact Plus special. The winner of that will then go ahead to face Kenny Omega at the 24 April pay-per-view, with both the Impact and AEW World Championships up for grabs in a true history-making contest.
There's changing the game, and then there's this. This is a match you need to see for the implications alone. Swann vs. Omega is the obvious choice here, considering there's a bit of history there, but Moose vs. Omega would no doubt be a fine match following their interactions at Hard To Kill.
Either way, Rebellion just became a legendary night.
