8. Putting Him In The Draft

Some wrestlers should be exempt from WWE's Drafts.

Bray Wyatt, who had only just been reborn as the 'Fiend' a few months before October's shuffle, is one of them. Sadly, WWE disagreed and decided to make smiling 'Firefly Fun House' Bray the fourth overall pick (SmackDown's second) late-last year. That was a pretty annoying idea.

Being drafted humanised Wyatt. He was busy warning everyone who'd listen about "Him" during pre-tapes, but FOX executives ignored that advice in favour of having him on their brand-spanking new toy. That didn't make any sense - Bray's 'Fiend' should've been a Draft rebel, and the kind who'd show up when he wanted.

By placing him in amongst all the other Draft picks and publicly flaunting Bray as a huge coup for SmackDown, WWE made him seem like just any old wrestler. Characters like his 'Fiend' cannot afford to be ordinary, and they shouldn't follow corporate rules.
