Typically, if you were told that Neville beat Kevin Owens in less than 30 seconds, youd think Owens was being punished. And normally, youd be right. But in this case, it played together nicely, with Owens still reeling from losing a Superstar of the Year Slammy to Neville last week (after losing his Intercontinental Championship the week before that). KO charged in, got kicked in the head and then seconds later got rolled up for the surprise pin. Owens then proceeded to beat Neville silly before referees separated them. That alone helped sell how unhinged KO has become after the recent losses which is a departure from how WWE typically handles a wrestler losing multiple matches, where they throw a quiet tantrum in the ring or take out their frustration on inanimate objects. But then when Raw came back from commercial break, Owens upped the ante, running down and clotheslining Neville as he was being helped to the back.It was an awesome release from Owens, spoiled only by his retreating from Dean Ambrose, but it still was well done. (And actually, KO getting away from Ambrose because he doesnt have the advantage fits his character.)
