7 Ups And 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 7)

4. Roman! Roman! Roman!

No, your ears weren€™t deceiving you, that was the Charleston faithful chanting for Roman Reigns at the end of Raw. Somehow, some way, Roman manages to elicit a strong positive reaction when he€™s in the midst of a wild brawl. That€™s happened a couple times now where Reigns has gotten the live audience behind him, which might be a sign that he€™s turning a corner. Or it€™s just the fans trolling the TV viewers. Regardless, a mediocre chant for Reigns doesn€™t mean that he€™s suddenly the answer to John Cena or that he€™s going to change the business like his cousin the Rock did. But if we€™re looking for any positive possible, this has to count for something. It means that fans want to buy into Roman at some level, though it€™s not at the Vince McMahon-inspired superhero level. Reigns got over with the Shield for their hard-nosed brawling, and that€™s when Roman tends to get the biggest reaction nowadays. (Remember his wild brawl with Bray Wyatt to close Raw a couple months ago?)It€™s just worth noting that Reigns got a nice reaction from the live crowd, but it€™s also worth tossing out that WWE logic would indicate that since Roman pinned Sheamus in the opener and got the upper hand at the end of Raw, he€™s losing at TLC.
