Last week, WWE teased a Charlotte turn in the vein of her famous father, Ric Flair, who was known as the Dirtiest player in the game when she faked an injury to beat her friend Becky Lynch. Monday, Charlotte blew right past shades of gray and went full-on heel, from her all-black outfit, to lecturing Miz on how to introduce the Nature Boy, to saying they were on Rolex time. At the same time, Paiges past transgressions including mocking Charlottes deceased brother were forgotten as she became the heroine. And you know what? All of that gets a pass and a thumbs up. That might sound crazy approving of a ridiculous double turn with little logic but lets face it, Charlotte as a face wasnt working, and the crowds enjoy cheering Paige even when shes acting like a heel. The dynamics werent working, so rather than let things die a slow death, WWE opted to rapidly change course. Whether it was artfully done or even if it ultimately was the right thing to do, it was good to see WWE recognize the problem and do something about it to try to save the angle and the characters. Now, lets see if it works.
