WWE clearly wanted to have the face team emerge victorious from the PPV elimination match, which is fine. When you dont have a really solid storyline, sometimes you just make the fans happy. But if youre going to book that, then dont take a lazy shortcut like WWE did Sunday night. With Big E eliminated from the match, it was three-on-three momentarily. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods decided that they needed to take E to the back because he was hurt. They of course never returned, leaving Sheamus to fend for himself against Ryback, Jey Uso and Kalisto. Sure, it was cute in some ways, but having your tag champs walk out of a fair fight (maybe if it was five-on-three it would have made more sense) was just silly. If this somehow translates into the Usos and Lucha Dragons lobbying for tag title shots, then thats one thing. But this was just taking the path of least resistance to reach a conclusion. If youre going to book a match, then dont be afraid to book it right.
