Someone needs to figure this out: Does WWE have Finn Balor in a holding pattern for a reason other than a lack of anything better to do?
If they have a storyline that they’re waiting to set up (such as waiting for a returning superstar or another wrestler to be freed up), then that’s one thing. But if they’re throwing Balor out on television week after week to have one-off matches with no real storyline and no real plans for the immediate future, then that’s just really a shame.
Monday, Balor came out and added another tick mark in Curt Hawkins’ loss column, making him 0-147 and winless in 2017. While once in a while you can toss a guy out there with nothing else to do because he’s popular, if you do it for a month straight, it’s a problem.
Bear in mind that Balor defeated AJ Styles on PPV two months ago. Today, AJ is WWE Champion, and Finn is wrestling Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel and Curt Hawkins.
