3. Roman Projects… In The Wrong Way
For the better part of the past two years, Braun Strowman has largely run roughshod over Raw, dominating opponents and building a following by performing incredible feats of strength.
Roman Reigns has (for better or worse) been on the receiving end of a lot of those moments, and their rivalry has been a bitter struggle between two behemoths.
That’s what made Roman’s insults toward Braun Monday night so strange and – quite frankly – stupid. After Braun came down to ringside to confront Reigns, the Universal Champion mocked him and told Strowman to “step up, act like a man” and cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. When Braun proposed a cash-in at Hell in a Cell, Roman said he was “finally starting to sound like a monster.”
This came a week after Braun tried to do exactly that, only for the Shield to gang up on him and protect Roman’s title. But Reigns is the one telling someone else – a guy who has charged right at everyone in his path – to step up and be a man?
Either Reigns is projecting his own insecurities, he’s turning heel, or the writers are morons. You decide.
