2. A Fitting Sendoff For The Brain
There are too many memorable moments to recount for Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, though this column attempted to highlight some of the biggest.
In a nod to just how many highlight reel-worthy moments there were, WWE aired a video Monday that featured many moments that this writer had never seen before or had forgotten about. It was an entertaining, heartwarming moment that reminded all of us just how great Heenan was at his job. Naturally, there were plenty of moments with Gorilla Monsoon and Gene Okerlund.
During Raw, WWE aired several of the tweets that had been sent out by guys like Chris Jericho, Mick Foley, Vince McMahon, Christian, Jim Ross, Sheamus, Daniel Bryan and Ric Flair. It was clear that Heenan influenced many wrestlers today, and while it was a huge shame that the Brain passed away, it was heartening to see the word “humanoid” get a second life, if only for a day.
