One thing that is interesting about when WWE travels to and broadcasts from different countries is that fans get to see how different cultures react to matches, moves and wrestlers. Japanese fans are among the more unique in that they can go completely silent, then applaud a sequence of moves that in America would be treated as filler. The fans jamming the Ryogoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo were into all aspects of the event, cheering along and chanting (in English, no less). They were genuinely appreciating everything all the performers did throughout the show. This was the kind of crowd that can help establish a star. Fans watching at home cant help but be influenced by how a live crowd reacts, so the response that Finn Balor got in his return to Japan probably helped viewers get behind Balor that much more. This was definitely the right venue for Balors NXT title victory.
