The TakeOver series has had several simple, yet effective names: Arrival (the first event), Rival, (R)Evolution, and now Respect. Its reassuring to hear WWEs developmental system talk about how the ultimate prize is respect, especially considering that the parent company has had wrestlers feuding over a shampoo commercial, spilled coffee, tweets, retaining the Miz brand and of course, Total Divas conflicts. NXT opened its latest special event reliving Bayleys crowning achievement, then showing a host of other legendary champions winning their titles: Daniel Bryan, Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Booker T (in WCW, no less), Ron Simmons and Ultimate Warrior. The narrator made sure to note that the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic was all about paying respect to the late American Dream, while Bayley/Sasha Banks is now more of a respect feud over the NXT Womens Championship. Fans would probably respect WWE more if some of this mentality spilled over to the main roster.
