6. Rollins’ Acolytes Pick Up Victory
There really was only one acceptable outcome in the tag match between Seth Rollins’ disciples Murphy & Austin Theory versus Aleister Black & Humberto Carrillo.
Rollins’ charges needed to win the match, and Theory needed to prove himself worthy, so he naturally picked up the pinfall after hitting the ATL on Carrillo. This followed a promo where Austin talked about how he came to Raw thinking he had friends, but they dumped and ditched him, and only Rollins would pick him up and give him purpose.
It will be interesting to see where things go from here, with Rollins facing Black next week, but with it also announced that Rey Mysterio will have a retirement ceremony. There’s a couple different directions WWE could go here. But at least Rollins’ acolytes are rolling.
