Of course, maybe the Natalya/Ruby Riott match was just supposed to be a backdrop to the “Sassy Southern Belle” Lacey Evans strutting the runway.

Into Month #3 of Lacey’s callup and all WWE has figured out to do with her is parade her down the aisle and back while Renee Young(!) fawns over her. Young really sold it by proclaiming she was Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Wonder Woman combined into one.

Just a reminder: Evans has wrestled exactly two televised matches since her December callup, one of which was on Main Event and the other was the Royal Rumble.

Look, this writer hopes she can deliver in the ring, but so far, she hasn’t delivered in the ring or even on the mic. Yes, she looks great, but she’s going to have to prove herself in some fashion to get out of the “downs” column – and Renee praising her isn’t cutting it.
