8. Nothing Better To Do

Consider this a very mild negative, if only because of where they most recently were.

New Day was announced as the hosts of WrestleMania XXXIII. New Day, who spent 15 months as tag champs and have been an integral part of Raw (with some hiccups) during that time, will not be competing at WWE’s biggest show of the year.

Look, on one hand, shouldn’t a highly decorated tag team want to be in the ring maybe fighting for the titles they lost in December? Or maybe they want to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal together? But on the other hand, hosting Mania presumably means prime promo time instead of a meaningless tag match.

But still, it feels like a consolation prize, rather than a reward.
