Man, Raw was looking like a decent show for about two hours. And then the third hour happened.

The go-home episode of the red brand before TLC at least lined up several matches for Sunday’s PPV, but it really was a mixed bag. On the positive front, we got a killer heel turn from Seth Rollins, solidifying his status from a couple weeks ago. Kevin Owens had a really good episode as the focal point of the first two hours. And Humberto Carrillo finally got the showcase spotlight match he’s been needing since his Raw debut.

But we also had to endure the divorce of Rusev and Lana, which led to another chapter at TLC with the Bulgarian Brute facing Bobby Lashley in what will probably be their first of several matches. We saw a SmackDown wrestler show up on Raw despite the rules laid out during the draft less than two months ago. We saw a “comedy” sketch crash and burn, singeing the Street Profits in the process. We saw Becky Lynch return and care more about the women’s tag titles than her own championship – which she hasn’t defended in two months.

And we saw a sloppy ending to Raw that just didn’t leave a good taste in your mouth.

WWE is closing out 2019 with a less-than-stellar effort, but you never know what Sunday’s PPV will bring. Let’s get to it…
