6. Women Weave Together Solid MITB Match
Let’s give an overall shout-out to the eight women in their respective Money in the Bank ladder match, putting on a pretty decent little show.
Unlike some of the car crashes we’ve seen in past MITB bouts, this one was really focused on in-ring action and fighting over the ladder, with most of the climbs saved for the latter part of the match. Almost every woman had a standout moment: Naomi slid and split to avoid getting walloped by ladders; Ember Moon hit a titanic Eclipse on Natalya in the ring off a ladder outside the ring; Dana Brooke swung around the ring while dangling from the briefcase; and Carmella returned from an early injury to finish the match.
It was also good to see the women mix it up without trying to do some of the ridiculous, outlandish spots the guys pull off every year. They were able to tell a pretty decent story without killing themselves out there.
Not a bad start to the PPV.
