7. Welcome To Dudleyville

When the Royal Rumble originally was announced, it was billed as a 40-man match. The thought was that WWE would try to get a bunch of ECW originals to appear since Philadelphia was the home of the former extreme promotion. Instead, it was kept as a traditional 30-man match, with just one surprise entrant from ECW: Bubba Ray Dudley. Given that Dudley hadn€™t been seen in a WWE ring in a decade and was a pretty popular wrestler in both ECW and WWE, this was an easy call. The Philly crowd ate it up, especially when Bubba appropriated R-Truth to stand in as D-Von, doing the Wassup Drop and €œGet the table!€ spots, and then hitting Miz with a 3D. Although Bubba€™s time in the Rumble was short and there was no appearance from D-Von, this was the one overture to the Philly crowd, and it was a welcome one.
