If we solely look at the example of ECIII, TNA has done this quite well over the last couple of years. Carter has been undefeated and technically still is, and it is always a fine stick for wrestlers to cling on to. It is where many other companies fall down, where competitors trade wins back and forth, making the outcome of matches irrelevant. Isn't that why we watch in the first place, to see our favourites win? TNA should implement a rankings type of system that follows wins and losses and provides appropriate rewards for victories. The company flirted with this with an annual Bound for Glory Series, but their own booking bogged them down. Right now the TNA World Title Series is underway, and instantly some fairly mundane matches will become important. Mahabali Shera vs. Crazzy Steve doesn't interest me at all, but knowing that Steve must win to stay alive in a competition? That introduces something to make me care.
