A lot of unexpected things happened this week in professional wrestling. We saw a ring implode for the third time in 14 years, witnessed a man who never, ever wins matches suddenly become the No. 1 contender to the WWE Title and stood in disbelief as we watched a Nia Jax match where she didn't almost kill someone.

Due to the lackluster edition of Raw, it seems safe to say that the WrestleMania Hangover is in full effect now. Major stars like Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Triple H and The Undertaker are nowhere to be seen. Instead, the company is having to push new talent to the top but didn't actually put much thought into how they were going to do that and failed to plan ahead. Somehow, I don't think Payback is going to be the cure for this hangover.

Random question of the week: Can someone tell me what purpose James Ellsworth serves anymore? He may be an incredibly nice guy, but what is the point of his alliance with Carmella? I can't think of a character who wore out its welcome so effectively and still remained employed I mean, good for him, but it seems like some sort of weird clerical oversight like with Milton from Office Space that he's still around.
