Internally, WWE hope that Roman Reigns will be the next John Cena. What better way to establish it than pairing the two off against each other next year at WrestleMania 32? The two men could have a passing of the torch moment, similar to what WWE did with Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior in 1990. The year long build would start at WrestleMania 31, when Reigns wins the WWE Title. The commentary could deliberately play the line "the new face of the WWE," which would plant the seeds for John Cena to come out the next night on Raw and lay claim to still being the man. "I'm out here to challenge you for something special," Cena could say to Reigns, "next year at WrestleMania in front of 100,000 people, me versus you to see who really is the face of the WWE."
