7'3" Giant Jordan Omogbehin Makes Devastating In-Ring Debut At NXT Live Event
Wait until Vince McMahon gets a look at this former college basketball star in his ring!
In a sight that’s sure to get Vince McMahon seeing dollar signs, WWE’s latest monster has made his long-awaited NXT debut.
At last night’s Lakeland, Florida NXT live event, Jordan Omogbehin made his in-ring debut and left the watching crowd - and referee Drake Wuertz - in absolute awe at his legit 7’3” frame.
Managed by Courtenay Moore – the former Stokely Hathaway – Onogbehin easily defeated Team 3.0 in a handicap match. At just 25 years of age, the Lagos, Nigeria-born giant certainly has the look that WWE brass goes wild for.
Omogbehin officially signed with WWE last year and reported to the Performance Center in October as part of the same class that featured current NXT stars such as Matt Riddle and Mia Yim. In terms of his background, Jordan played Division-I college basketball at Morgan State University and the University of South Florida.
When Stokley Hathaway signed with WWE, many smart fans got all kinds of excited at the prospect of the charismatic wrestler-cum-manager being able to showcase his skills in NXT. And now, it looks like part of said skills will be as the mouthpiece for Jordan Omogbehin.
As for Team 3.0, Chikara standouts Jeffrey Parker and Matthew Menard-Lee officially signed NXT deals this past January, and the Canadian duo were clearly trusted with making NXT’s rookie monster look like a star in his debut match.
Don’t be expecting to see the Jordan Omogbehin and Courtenay Moore pairing on NXT any time soon, of course, for this monster clearly needs a lot of work. But in the years to come? NXT – and WWE – could have its next all-conquering monster on its hands.
