In depressing if not remotely unexpected findings from a recent investigation, the strong majority of wrestlers who receive online abuse are women.
The "top 15" - what a cursed way of looking at it, incidentally - comprises wrestlers from WWE, AEW, and the free agent pool. The study study undertaken by CryptoMakiaks.com, with data gathered between June 30 2024 - June 30 2025 and from most major social media platforms.
The deeply unfortunate honour of the top spot is reserved for Charlotte Flair. This is especially bleak in light of the raw and uncomfortable piece Charlotte penned for the Player's Tribune. Nia Jax is second. Mercedes Moné is third. Saraya is fourth. Tegan Nox is fifth. Have you spotted the pattern?
The entire top five is dominated by women wrestlers. What a horrible reflection of the toxic society in which we live.

This will undoubtedly be ignored, since these trolls know what they are doing is unkind and do it precisely for that reason, but it can't hurt:
You are reading this because you enjoy learning about or discussing pro wrestling online. You probably have an account with and post on at least one social media platform. You are free to criticise or even make jokes about wrestlers you don't enjoy. It would be naive for anybody in the public eye not to expect this. They signed up for life as a performer knowing full well that art and the performance of it is subjective. It's up to them not to vanity search.
It is eminently possible to do critique or wrestling or create a meme of them without tagging the performer in question and making them feel like sh*t.
