8 Best Candidates To Win WWE Survivor Series World Title Tournament

By Erik Beaston /

7. Dolph Ziggler

The Showoff is consistently situated right outside of the main event in the upper midcard. Long one of the most respected athletes on the roster thanks to his consistencies between the ropes, Ziggler has accomplished all that there is to accomplish except for one thing: a quality heavyweight title reign. His first run with the big gold belt lasted a whopping hour or so, its purpose little more than furthering an angle involving Edge and Vickie Guerrero. His second run with the gold was unfortunately cut short by a severe concussion that actually threatened his career. What better way to reward Ziggler for his hard work and dedication to his craft than to have him run through the competition and emerge as champion? It is not uncommon at this time of the year for The Showoff to enjoy a sizable push. Four years ago, he was the soul survivor of a match that saw him cleanly pin Randy Orton. Then, just one year ago at the annual November event, he secured the victory for Team Cena over Team Authority and seemed to be well on his way to another gigantic move up the card. That did not happen, no matter how popular Ziggler proved to be. This year, WWE Creative has the opportunity to correct that mistake and they should take it, feud with Tyler Breeze and Summer Rae be damned.
