The jury is still out on the New Day faction however, that is mainly due to holding out hope that Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods will suddenly declare that this gimmick is a joke and they wont be the smiling babyfaces anymore. Its the only outcome that really makes sense at this point. The trio already has a loss under their belts in the tag team scramble, thanks to Goldust and Stardust, and now they have a match Sunday against the Dust Brothers during the pre-show. Thats right, weeks of vignettes hyping the New Days re-debut was spent on an unannounced match on Smackdown, a loss on Raw, and now a match before the PPV starts. Although the rebelling against the gimmick theory above sounds a little crazy, it makes more sense than Kofi and Big E winning on Sunday and going about their business, smiling and being positive. If they lose to the Dusts, then it might signal that the trio could turn against the gimmick in a fourth wall-breaking sort of way. That might be pie in the sky thinking, but if the already-relegated to the pre-show New Day lose on Sunday, then there might be something brewing.
