8. The Miz Vs. John Cena

WrestleMania XXVII - and more specifically, the Miz-John Cena main event - is often derided, and for good reason. The entire show was one of the worst 'Manias in recent memory, and the top match was an utterly forgettable throwaway designed only to build up interest in a Cena-Rock match the following year.

Still, fans of Cena and Miz had higher expectations - Cena almost always delivers in big matches, while Miz had improved greatly over the previous couple of years. Something just didn't click, though, and it was made worse by the fact that Miz suffered a concussion during the bout. Miz's career really took a tumble after that match, but during his 2016 renaissance, fans wondered if another Cena bout could be far off.

They ended up clashing at WrestleMania 33, but in a mixed tag team match also featuring Maryse and Nikki Bella. That bout was more angle than contest, though, and the four-star Cena-Miz match that fans of both men are still looking to see has yet to materialize. Now that Cena is spending more time in Hollywood than Stamford, it seems the opportunity may have sadly passed.
