8 HUGE WWE Hell In A Cell 2021 Predictions You Need To Know

The end of WWE's no-fans pay-per-view era, and the beginning of a Mysterio family feud?!

What is it about this show in particular that seems to bring out the worst in the WWE creative team?

2018 and 2019 saw titular main events that didn't even have finishes despite the structure once serving as the company's most decisive stipulation. 2020's show, meanwhile, suffered from the same problem as 2021's - virtually no card to speak of before the event.

It is quite something that an event based around a match with such definitive outcomes is now the one that feels most disposable. Moved from its October spot to June to presumably delay Money In The Bank for a crowded venue in July, the company could have plucked countless other B-Shows to fill the void. Instead, they're making a quick return to the red structure that was out as recently as October. Admin really does spoil everything.

Admin or Vince McMahon, anyway. The card...doesn't look fantastic, though perhaps there'll at least be a sense of finality to the feuds as well as this unspeakably strange time. And if not, at least we can all rely on WWE to rip people apart just as the world begins to come back together...

8. Crowning

But first, this.

Typically, WWE will add a matches to pay-per-view pre-shows that have been seen a billion times before, will be ran back on television days later, or crushingly, both of the above.

Enter Shinsuke Nakamura Vs King Corbin.

An uninteresting feud with a wafer-thin premise - Corbin owns a crown, Nakamura has stolen the crown and doesn't want to give the crown back - has achieved two things and neither of them can make another singles match between the two anymore interesting. Rick Boogs plays 'The Artist' to the ring, and WWE have happened upon using 'The King Of Strong Style' as a nickname because Vince McMahon has seen how good Nakamura looks in a crown approximately a decade after everybody else.

Neither of these things will contribute to making the umpteenth match between the two any better, nor will the outcome be conclusive, but sh*t maybe this combination will be better when it's interrupted by an advert for the show you're literally sat there waiting to watch?

It's that or an Eva Marie bait and switch and you getting cross that the commentators don't know Piper Niven's name. Take your pick.
