8 Incredible Ideas WWE Abandoned IMMEDIATELY

7. Oba Femi's Open Challenge

Oba Femi has hit WWE's main roster in 2026 with all the impact of a meteor crashing to earth. Instantly looking like a dominant force with the potential to be a world champion in the immediate future, The Ruler already has the presence of a main eventer and it looked as though WWE were going to utilized that in a really interesting and productive way.

Harnessing all of this power and superstar potential, Oba issued a weekly open challenge to take him on during Monday Night Raw. This is a great idea because there's a weekly surprise to see who will step up, anyone who defeats Oba instantly increases their standing with WWE's audience, and Oba can defeat a litany of interesting upper midcarders to remind anyone who's coming across him for the first time what a big deal he is.

Otis was a fun person to try his luck at the Oba Open Challenge. It made him look fearless and reminded fans he's not just a low-level bozo. After this Los Garza were found backstage and mauled by Oba, before the idea was dropped entirely. The likes of Jimmy Uso, Carmelo Hayes, Ilja Dragunov, Dragon Lee, Royce Keys, Logan Paul, and whoever you're shouting at your screen could all have kept this idea alive and interesting, but it was dropped after just two weeks.
