Although Io Shirai and Asuka have yet to cross paths in the WWE, if they do ever get to work together they'll have a shared history to draw on.
Io and her sister began teaming with Asuka (then working under the ring-name Kana) in 2010 as a stable known as the Triple Tails. Given that Kairi Sane has been long-rumoured to leave the WWE once her contract expires this year, it's not beyond the possibility that WWE will reforge the connection between Shirai and Asuka and give us a Triple Tails reunion.
