Some will look at the fact that The Wyatt Family avenged their loss at Fastlane the next night on Raw as some sort of makeup for the ridiculous booking decision carried out by WWE Creative at the pay-per-view but nothing can excuse this misstep. By putting Ryback, Kane and Big Show over Braun Strowman, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan at the pay-per-view, just to setup the following night's heel turn by The Big Guy, WWE killed any and all momentum built by the heel faction in the wake of their showing at the Royal Rumble. After all, this was a Wyatt Family coming off of a performance that saw them eliminate Brock freaking Lesnar from the 30-man extravaganza. Everything accomplished in that match, and in the weeks that followed it, was for naught as the company's writing staff opted to destroy the aura of the group all for the sake of laying the groundwork for Ryback push No. 47.
