2. Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker WrestleMania 26
At WrestleMania 26 Shawn Michaels looked to avenge his loss to The Undertaker one-year prior, but in order to do it he was forced to put his career on the line. The Undertaker was looking to go 18-0 at The Showcase of Immortals. Its important to note, this was Undertakers last WrestleMania as a fulltime performer. Nevertheless, while people looked for Taker and Shawn to out-do their previous years performance, they crafted a more emotional contest. Shawn had been haunted for a full year over how close he came to breaking the streak. Everything from the Slammy Awards on pointed to a showdown between the two. Although most Shawn Michaels fans were hoping for a victory, deep down we all knew the outcome of this match long before hand. Its almost a relief to be able to say, We never saw a washed up Shawn Michaels wrestle. Additionally, Shawn went out on his back with not only a great performance, but also contributing to the aura of the streak. Once Shawn couldnt defeat The Undertaker, no one figured there was anyone left to challenge The Streak. However, defeat could not take away his title of Mr. WrestleMania. Conversely, it gave The Undertaker a two-year sweep over Shawn as well as the distinction of having Shawns last match. As fellow WhatCulture writer Chad Matthews would say, this match was the heart of The Streak Within The Streak.
