2. Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker €“ WrestleMania 26

At WrestleMania 26 Shawn Michaels looked to avenge his loss to The Undertaker one-year prior, but in order to do it he was forced to put his career on the line. The Undertaker was looking to go 18-0 at The Showcase of Immortals. It€™s important to note, this was Undertaker€™s last WrestleMania as a fulltime performer. Nevertheless, while people looked for Taker and Shawn to out-do their previous years performance, they crafted a more emotional contest. Shawn had been haunted for a full year over how close he came to breaking the streak. Everything from the Slammy Awards on pointed to a showdown between the two. Although most Shawn Michaels fans were hoping for a victory, deep down we all knew the outcome of this match long before hand. It€™s almost a relief to be able to say, €œWe never saw a washed up Shawn Michaels wrestle.€ Additionally, Shawn went out on his back with not only a great performance, but also contributing to the aura of the streak. Once Shawn couldn€™t defeat The Undertaker, no one figured there was anyone left to challenge The Streak. However, defeat could not take away his title of Mr. WrestleMania. Conversely, it gave The Undertaker a two-year sweep over Shawn as well as the distinction of having Shawn€™s last match. As fellow WhatCulture writer Chad Matthews would say, this match was the heart of €œThe Streak Within The Streak.€
