8 New Roles That Would Revive Stale WWE Talent
8. Rhyno - Heel Enforcer
Since Rhyno returned to WWE, his role alongside Heath Slater as a tag team practitioner has seen a number of highlights, most notably a run as the inaugural SmackDown Tag Team Champions. However, it's clear that the team has lost some serious momentum since switching to Raw and a Rhyno heel turn on his partner could be just the trick.
As a hired mercenary, Rhyno would make the perfect bodyguard for someone like The Miz. Portrayed as the maniacal muscle behind the arrogant 'A-Lister', Rhyno would present a dangerous threat to opposition, unlike the lacklustre defence of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. Alternatively, a return to SmackDown as back-up for Baron Corbin would also make logical sense, as the pair teamed up several times during Rhyno's stint in NXT, making it to the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
Outside of that, even a return to NXT wouldn't be the worst thing for Rhyno's career. If 'The Man-Beast' were accompanied by a manager - such as Paul Ellering - Rhyno could get the last singles run of his career and go out on a high. A stint as NXT Champion during a time of rebuilding, would help support the brand following main roster call-ups, while it would also allow new contenders time to get over with the fans.
