Vince McMahon went above and beyond on numerous occasions to pay homage to The Hart Family by including them in storylines and putting over the fact that they're a legendary wrestling family. Throughout Bret's run, there were multiple times where Vince allowed Bret's family to get a paycheck, most notably at Survivor Series 1993 where Bret, Bruce, Keith and Owen took on Shawn Michaels and his knights in a traditional Survivor Series match. With Bret making the road to Survivor Series 1997 difficult, it discredits everything that WWE did for his family in the past. Even Bret's father, the legendary Stu Hart, was integrated into storylines at times because he had such a love and desire for the business. Whenever we saw Stu or even Bret's mother Helen on TV in the mid-90s, it was out of respect for the family. Bret should have done business the right way based on the fact that WWE not only helped make him a household name, but also put the entire Hart family in a situation to add to their overall exposure.
