The Revival are outliers on this list. Released shortly before the Black Wednesday exodus, though the timing could have been better these guys have been wanting out for what seems like forever. They’ve been teasing a feud with The Young Bucks for nearly as long.

Their treatment in WWE has been all over the place. Stop/start pushes alternated with tacit burials and spells off TV. Meanwhile, WWE apparently offered them big money to stay. Leaked plans for their proposed new “comedy” direction make this one case where released at “the worst possible time” and “in the nick of time” are one and the same.

That battle against The Young Bucks in AEW feels inevitable but they’d also fit right in as “Top Guys” on NWA Powerrr. Even after everyone else who’s followed them out of the door, these guys still feel like the hottest free agents in wrestling.
