Figured we'd start this one off with a headline name! When John Cena took part in one of the two annual UK tours in 2008, he threw his support behind Tottenham Hotspur when he visited White Hart Lane and got his own personalised shirt and a wonderfully convenient promotional photo with ex-Spurs manager Gerry Francis. During the World Cup, Cena made a point of keeping strong tabs on the tournament, tweeting several times during Germany and the USA's matches, showing his moderate fandom of the beautiful game. One wonders exactly how much Cena knew about his selection of support when he had that photo taken, however, baring in mind he's posing with one of the least successful Spurs managers of the Premier League era. If WWE superstars were ever to be metaphors for Premier League teams, surely John Cena would be more suitable for, say, Manchester United, whereas Spurs might warrant Ted DiBiase senior. Rich, Jewish with their money, with an annoying gimmick, who never won the world title.
