8 Superstars Whose Best WWE Match Came Against John Cena

8. John 'Bradshaw' Layfield - Judgment Day 2005

John 'Bradshaw' Layfield wasn't renowned for his great matches, but for two straight years at WWE Judgment Day he was involved in thrilling encounters that weren't short on blood and violence. The first of these was against the late great Eddie Guerrero, and 12 months later the man spilling buckets of red against the Wrestling God was John Cena.

The two had faced off at WrestleMania 21 earlier in the year in a match that saw Cena win his first world title, but was one of the most underwhelming title changes in WrestleMania history. Much like Daniel Bryan and Sheamus after WrestleMania XXVIII, the duo more than made up for their disappointing first match with an absolute barnstormer in the rematch.

It was an 'I Quit' match, and over a decade later it still stands as one of the best of the form in history. It was also JBL's best WWE match.
