8 Things AEW Need To Do To Reach The Next Level
8. Louder Entrance Music
Entrance themes are one of the most integral aspects of the pro wrestling presentation. Whether it’s the glass shattering on a sensational return, or a haunting gong to interrupt a big segment, wrestlers and their mystique often become defined by the music they come out to. In that regard, AEW are well and truly lagging behind.
Yes, they are still a new promotion and producing a
wrestling show is by no means an easy feat, but that doesn’t quite excuse them
for underwhelming on such a vital element of the product. For the most part,
viewers can’t even hear the lyrics or indeed the music properly and the songs
themselves aren’t exactly tunes that will stick to your memory.
If AEW want their performers, especially those
earmarked for future stardom, to become characters everyone looks forward to
seeing every week, then among other things, they have to mark their arrivals
with sounds loud and catchy enough to bring the audience out of their seats.
