8 Things Fans Want To See At WWE Payback 2016
Desperate to see Finn Balor debut on Sunday? Join the Club.
Payback is agonisingly close now, and looks all set to upstage WrestleMania 32 in terms of in-ring action.
Even before we consider the inherently intriguing main event, the undercard is chock full of very talented, exciting workers, including Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho.
A good show is seemingly guaranteed, although - as we saw at 'Mania - a straightforward Roman Reigns victory could put a dampener on the entire PPV.
Admittedly, Reigns is almost certainly walking out of Chicago with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship around his waist, but that doesn't shake the feeling that something major is going to go down - potentially also involving a shake-up of the authority figures in charge of the company.
It's a crucial show, one which will shape fan opinion of WWE heading into the important summer season. Here are the key demands that must be met in order for Payback to deliver on its potential.
8. Finn Balor
Let's start with the obvious one straight off the bat: fans want to see Finn Balor at Payback.
The former NXT Champion has quite clearly been groomed for success in the developmental territory, and is reportedly a favourite of Triple H. It's easy to see why, as the combination of his enigmatic personality and stellar ringwork make for a bonafide future star.
Many are expecting Balor to interfere in the main event between AJ Styles and Roman Reigns, and many are expecting him to assume control of Gallows and Anderson, costing AJ the match in the process.
While this would be a decidedly mixed result (which we'll discuss in further detail in due course), it would at least be a fittingly impactful debut for one of NXT's standout superstars.
